Aortus Is on a Roadtrip!
Joe, I can only imagine how strange and sad it must feel to not have anyone to call home to from the road....so "call" us! We're here, we're quee...ooops, wrong slogan. :-)
So here's a thread for you to keep us posted on your travels, and let us share your trip with you.

Have a wonderful trip and please do keep the car under control. Wishing you a safe journey. Let us hear from you so we can all share in the road trip.
Had a great time yesterday. The drive to Iowa City was fun: I took my time, chased trains whenever I saw them. The hotel I stayed in is AWESOME - sixth floor, full length windows facing both south and east. A townie called out that she really liked my hat and shirt (both of which I had just bought at the Iowa Bookstore, if that gives you any idea of what I was wearing), so I barked back that I really liked her nose ring... a very Moopyistic response, I would like to think.
It's about time to hop into the Tiguan and get going again, even though I would love to just hang around here for a while. Nice to have a set of options, all of which are good. I will try not to get busted, not to eat too much bacon, and not to impersonate a mythical tiger-iguana beast invented by the folks at VW in desperation for what to name their new SUV.
And most of all, please know that you are ALL coming with me on this trip. I have furnished you each with your own iPad and leopard-skin hat, so PIPE DOWN BACK THERE ALREADY AND BEHAVE.
Oh well. A guy can yell, can't he? Thanks all of you for all you have done and continue to do for me. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. There is a reason I feel no compelling need to seek out real-life counselors and/or support groups where I live...
Love,

Hey Joe~Aortus said:Heh heh Traci!
As my LGBT friends back home know, I may not be quee, but when the fecal matter hits the fan, I am most definitely here for them.
I am assuming its not a convertible (T)iguana, so roll the windows down~ turn up the heat if its cold~ and let the wind blow your hair (or hat) and turn the music up loud!!
Enjoy your travels our dear friend!

Thanks for the update Joe, you know we're all following your adventure. Now tell me about this new VW of yours. I used to pass new VW vans/suv's on the mountain hwy's of British Columbia in a semi full of gas so I take it they've punched them up a bit. As previous owners our experience has been very good with the dealers.
Thinking of you often and wishing you the best

We'll never get there if we keep stopping for some people to go to the bathroom. And she's chewing gum and you said no gum in the new car.
And she's breathing funny and doing it on purpose. Cut it out!!
Why do I have to go sit in the way back when it's her fault? But it's her -- yes, ma'am.
Some road trips are less fun than others:)

They are taking my space. They are breathing on me. I think I feel sick. I want to stop at that store and get something to drink. No, I don't want the stuff in the cooler. I'm tired. She's poking me.0 -

running down the road suitcase in hand... things hanging out half way.
Take me along, I brought snacks and good music. And I can race with
the best of them, after all I learned how to drive on the Autobahn.
I don't snore.. have a horrible voice, so I promise I won't sing aloud..
CAN I come (:0
