Hi riz, wow sorry bout your
Hi riz, wow sorry bout your mom dude.I feel for you with the hospital thing, I went to a "cancer institute" where I was a 7000.00 a week number, not a patient and certainly not Gary. My care was so bad that I quit chemo before I was supposed to. Then ( after the trillionth commercial ) I called cancer treatment centers of america. Best move I ever made. They found a tumor that didn't show on a pet scan and removed the rest of my left lung. But with any luck I'm cured now. You Might look into them online. Anyway good luck and god bless, Gary0 -
Hi, I find it interesting
Hi,
I find it interesting that you said that the doctors told your mom not to worry about her pains and told her to go home twice, and YOU GUYS were the ones that demanded the X ray that revealed the cancer. Do these doctors not know what they're doing?? Unbelievable.
Your story is a bit similar to my dad's. He has Small Cell as well, and I know exactly what you are going through. He was told about cancer July of last year, and the doctors weren't optimistic. I am 23 years years old, and my dad has way too much to live for. He needs to be there at my wedding, and see his grandchildren, etc.
This is a really tough road, since we are their kids and all we want is for our parents to live. They have done so much for us.
I am researching about this cancer, for some type of cure, and I'm praying that scientists will find it. People should be working hard on this every second of every day! This is such an unfair illness. God Bless you and you mom.0 -

Know the feeling thanks for sharing, we called the cancer treatment center of America. Unfortunately we cannot afford their services. I really wish there was a way. Because they "hospital my mother is being treated at" definitely got us feeling like their is no hope. I hope that you are indeed cured. God bless.0 -

Thank you so much for your well wishes and blessings. I want to extend my blessing to you and your dad as well. Were all one family in this fight. Ill do what ever it takes to see my mother get cured. I wish I studied harder in school and became a scientist. I myself was just thinking about things that seem like they should be experimented in labs. The Lysol theory. I was thinking maybe scientist should look into this seriously. If Lysol can kill germs effectively. Maybe it can kill cancer cells as well. Of course used in a much safer and medically responsible way. Oh well just thinking.0 -
my thoughts and prayers are
my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. i competely understand you frusrtation and pain. my father was diagnosed with sclc in july of 2010, and we have the exact same ill feelings towards the hospital and cancer center hes dealt with throughought this cancer. my father, too, smoked, but due to an early detection of copd, hasnt lit a cig in nearly 15 years. he fell out of bed in early july, and after a week or so of pain, decided to go get it checked out. he had lung screenings every month due to the copd, so he figured it was a broken rib. neither my father, nor our huge family c,ould comprehend what came next. how could it be cancer, he had lung screenings every month, how could they not have seen it. or was it that bad that it spread that fast. now, six months later, and two different rounds of chemo, my fathers still with us. luckly, he was never terrible sick from the chemo, the only side effects he experienced were weight loss, and tiredness. then, a few weeks ago, my father fell again, this time on ice ( i dont need ur help to walk, he said, its my lungs that r bad, not my legs) another trip to the doctor lead us to now, waiting for the catscan to be scheduled to see if there is even a need for anymore chemo, or if, like dad puts it, it time. home hospice is regularly coming the their house, wills are being made, and i just want to scream. my dad my be 70, but im only 30, and i still need him around. before this last visit to the docs, dad was ready to fight forever, but after monday, when they told him the cscan MIGHT show they nothing else to do, hes already giving up. im researching anything that may help to give my dad some more years with us. the worst thing of this whole situtaion is on july 10th, my father finally retired after working eveyday of his life since he was 14 years old. two weeks of retitement, and then cancer. he gave me and my mom and 5 brothers and sisters eveything, and now we just want to give him more time... please let me know if u hear anything to help with sclc0 -
