2nd vaccine injection and all is well
I think Annie gets her first injection on Feb 16th. She got vetted a lot quicker than I did because she was already a MSK patient.
The nice folks at the Marriott offered to store a couple of bags for us - for free - so we don't have to keep lugging them back and forth. They have a special rate for MSK patients. After taxes, a weekday room comes to $217. Friday/Saturday nights are about $30 more. I keep thinking that I could be on a really nice cruise for that kind of money.

I am truly humbled by your responses. I am so not a hero, by any means. I hope to achieve good personal results from the trial, although I know that is a million-to-one shot, but more realistically, I have a daughter and 4 granddaughters, plus all my wonderful, brave virtual sisters, and the idea of being part of something that might one day put this monster to rest makes me very, very proud.
My heart breaks every time we lose another member of our little online family. When one of us has a spike in numbers, or a scan that's not perfect, I go into a frenzy of tears and prayers. It makes me feel so helpless.
I am NED right now, and I consider that a blessing. A huge blessing. A blessing I know I do not deserve, but for which I am exceedingly grateful. And I will seize any opportunity that presents itself to help someone else who has been touched by this horrible disease, for as long as I can. And I will consider it a privilege to do so.

you don't deserve being NED. You champion the rest of us and I know you feel we all deserve to be NED. You fight so hard and make every effort to find out everything about this monster and what can be done to beat it. You are a humble person but please never say you don't deserve any blessing that comes your way. I always read your posts because I know you offer valuable information. I know I speak for the ladies on this board when I say, "You deserve it!"
