I posted the entire article in my storys in the Expressions Gallery if you would like to see it ....
An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer
> >> cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.
> >> *CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
> >>
> >> a. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made
> >> with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute
> >> would be Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small
> >> amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in
> >> color Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.
> >>
> >> b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the
> >> gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting
> >> off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer
> >> cells are being starved.
> >>
> >> c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based

> >> like chicken. Meat also contains livestock
> >> antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all
> >> harmful, especially to people with cancer.
> >>
> >> d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole
> >> grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into
> >> an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked
> >> food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live
> >> enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to
> >> cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance
> >> growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building
> >> healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most
> >> vegetables including be an sprouts) and eat some raw
> >> vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at
> >> temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)..
> >>
> >> e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high
> >> caffeine Green tea is a better alternative e and has cancer
> >> fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or
> >> filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap
> >> water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
> >>
> >> 12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of

> >> refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes
> >> to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the

    Wow
This sums up all the adjustments I made to my diet.
It just didn't mention my juicing frenzy (:

I did research on this and the science behind it makes
a lot of sense. You cells can only be as healthy as their
environment. And you can measure the acidity of your
body with test strips. And I am happy to say after 3 months
of avoiding those foods I was finally in the alkaline zone.

But of course my last chemo wrecked it again!!!

Thank you so much for posting this.

    Ayse

I thought I had seen this
I thought I had seen this before and sure enough, sorry it's an email hoax. Although there are good points, John Hopkins didn't put it out however they do have a page on breast cancer nutrition. And for your own safety, FlorEssence contains red clover which is a strong phytoestrogen unfortunately, sigh...I used to make red clover tea :(

    While it's true
that this article was not written by John Hopkins, it does not
mean it is fake. I don't why someone felt the need to put his
name on it, probably to raise more attention. But there's many
other books written on this subject that support the above
    mentioned theories.

Also cancer research is heading into an new direction. Instead
of looking at one individual cell researcher now look at the
environment of that cell. And have discovered that cancer cell
use oxidative stress in the fibroblasts and this stress forces the
stromal cells to eat themselves, which provides recycled nutrients
or “food” to fuel survival of nearby cancer cells.

They see three consequences resulting from activating oxidative stress
in normal stromal cells,. First, it forces stromal cells to make food for
cancer cells. Second, abundance of food protects the cancer cells against death.
Finally, oxidative stress modifies cancer cell DNA, causing mutations
and allowing them to evolve into a more aggressive form.”

In one of the published studies, Dr. Lisanti shows that using anti-oxidants can
prevent oxidative stress in the fibroblasts, thus cutting off the fuel supply to cancer c
ells, starving them. This study was funded amongst others by Susan Komen.

    Just my two cents.

    I don't know where the
I don't know where the article came from... but I do know there are very valid points... I know it is proven that a higher alkaline enviornment is much better for fighting off cancer than a high acidic enviornment.... trying to get there but it does take changes to our diet.... which leads me to wonder....over the years "meat" has become the "main-course" of most meals... how/why did we ever do that??? I do the same thing...someone asks "whats for dinner" and I say "roast" hummm... need to find another type of "main course"..

    Thanks for the reminder..

growing up in turkey on a farm, I used to eat a lot of veggies and fruit and
very little meat. We were not that well off. And even eggs were a treat.
My mom actually used to sell them to buy books for my brother's education.

Fast forward 20 something years and I am eating meat and eggs at least
once a day. And less veggies to make it worse, since I was always in some
    sort of hurry.

But I am OVER the living in the fast lane thing... I am pulling over, taking my
time and enjoying the scenery. And my body is my vehicle, I am doing the
best I can to maintain it. I call my diet the stone age diet. Everything I eat
is made by nature, mostly veggies. Meat is rare, since they didn't always get
lucky hunting and when they did it was shared. And you can bet your sweet
booty that it did not contain any hormones. They were always active gathering
and hunting, hence exercise is required, I try to walk 20 min per day.

No lab can replace the amazing and complex nutrition plants can provide us
with. I indulge, I admit, I am no angel but those are rare occasions.
