OK I finally found an ENT that I like and can answer most of my questions. I don’t know why but it sure seams like the Female ENT doctors know a lot more or maybe they are just more into the feelings of people unlike my Male ENT doctors I have been seeing. Anyway right off she could see most of the problems I been having that the other ENTs have been over looking. I have another flowing up appointment with her right after I do my PET and MRI at MD Anderson next mouth. Keep me in your prayer mext month March 3rd on the PET

    Happy to read this Hondo.
    Some female Drs. might be more empathetic. I just hope she gets you sorted out soon and you can get relief of you troublesome and painful symptoms.

    Happy to read this Hondo.
    Some female Drs. might be more empathetic. I just hope she gets you sorted out soon and you can get relief of you troublesome and painful symptoms.

    Yep. I've noticed that the lady docs are much more empathic and have much less ego as well. Glad you found the right one. I'll keep lifting you up and especially so on the 3rd.

    Hi Debbie

    The Vision problem is still there, it comes and goes and that is what’s making it hard to tell what is wrong. I forgot to tell my new ENT about this but for now I think she will have enough just going through my last 8 years of paperwork and PET scans. I am still able to work everyday and I drive myself to work and back home again, if the eye sight starts going I just pull over until it comes back again.

    Hi Sweet

    I believe you are right as we don’t get any compassion from male dr’s. The ENT I saw at the Mayo Clinic was the same way she too took time to explain and answer questions.

    My Family Doc is female and my ENT is now Female I think I an going to look for a Female Ocal doc next.

    I am with you my friend, as we lay on the table I will be thinking about you and wishing you a clean NED report. If I get a NED this will make my 5 years and hope to get a cured NED.

    Congrats on finding someone you feel very comfortable with. Having a Dr. you like always and shows a passion to listen and checkout helps maintain a positive mental attitude.

    I was wondering if you could share what happens when you sight starts to go, what do you see or feel? How long does it normally last? do you feel light headed?

    Interesting how the thought of only women ENT's having a compassion for patients.

    It is so nice to have a doc who makes you feel like you are Human and not just another problem for the day.

    On my Vision I could be sitting, standing, or sometimes driving and all of a sudden things just start doing dim. At first it was just in the left eye but as time went on it stated in the right eye as well, and instead of just going dim I now go totally blind to where I can’t see anything in front of me. It gets pretty scary at times when it happens and all I can do is to stand still and hold on to what ever is next to me. So far it only last for about a minute, I through it might be related to my blood pressure but it happens with PB is low or high. I was treated with Radiation twice once in 2003 and again in 2005 all to the head, first time was 6,300 rads and the second time was 8,400 rads. That was a lot of radiation and I guess the side affects are just now showing up 6 years later.

    I had the same type of eye problem butt on the other side. My sight would get very bright and extremly out of focus. This too was scary and lasted about 1-2 min. I would guess this happened 10-15 times over three years. Good thing is I have not had one in about 18 months. I too watched PB and it would happen when high and when low.
    My doctor's had no thoughts or heard of the problem.
    Maybe it part of what I call RadMo which is a combination of Radiation and Chemo together.
