Superthread Idea. Post Any Commentary For Superthread Here.

Okay. So I have had this idea for a while and I finally finished all the work on it. I had an idea for a superthread filled with tips in the form of links about the FAQ we always get, as well as things that we have found useful during treatment. Something all in one spot so to speak that we could give to newbies to have and read when they are overwhelmed. Instead of them using searches every where we provide helpful links pertaining to HNC and the various stages and things that we go thru.

*** I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THE THREAD TO LINKS ONLY *** No commentary or extraneous stuff. Just links to things that you found helpful before, during and after treatment.

Obviously the compilation of links is sort of skewed by my experience. People who have gone through chemo could add things there. NPC and BOT survivors may have other things to add.

Hoping for an informative and inspirational thread.

    Thanks Sweet, excellent job, and I and all of us appreciate your effort. Such a good list! It's needed doing for a long time. How to refer it to people. I just searched the site using "superthread" and your "commentary" post comes up, not the links post itself. You and John are the brains behind this, so maybe you can think of some way the "Superthread" post itself can be renamed so that it comes up. I tried "superthread" and "HNC Superthread" and got the commentary post only. I'm sure there is a way, and you are obviously the smart one.

    Try it again. I think it wasn't coming up because I was working on it. I am going to save it on my favorites so I know where it is. I would think it should come up if you search Superthread. I will have to think. I have been working on it all day and truth be told I have a wicked headache and can't think. Lol. I did all this on my iPhone. :) Wasn't easy but was a labor of love. :)

    Hi Sweet, a search still brings up your commentary post. But, I think if you just make a link to your Superthread post that would do it, if you can do it. Don't go it if you have a headache, do it tomorrow.

    Sue, I will consider renaming the thread, but I want it to be more than just FAQ. I will carefully consider your suggestion. The reason why that link doesn't work is a very long story. But it is still on the first page. Also if you type in 'superthread' in the search content it will always come up. Why are you thinking rename it? For search purposes? Just trying to figure out your thoughts to help me while I edit it and add and build it. Thank you. :)

    Yes, my suggestion of renaming it was more for search purposes. I guess what I was thinking was how would a new member know how to find it? It could very possibly be that I am the one sometines not knowing where to go on this site, or what thread to follow or search for (more than likely :-) ). I really appreciate the work you are doing - and appreciate you thinking of my input! I seriously won't be insulted at all if you don't rename it. The idea is a super one - regardless!

    let me try again getting to the link by searching for "superthread". I'll let you know if I have comments.

    So it was my bad! Told ya I don't navigate this board very well. (I think part of the problem is I just get on here when I can which is sporadic and while I'm doing 10 other things at the same time - not very productive on my part.

    Hi Sweet,

    A site just given to me by my lymphedema therapist. I'm getting massage/treatment from her out of my medical onc's office. She's accredited in the specialty, and gave me this site for information and a partial listing of practitioners. According to my therapist, lymphedema that occurs some time after treatment or surgery may need treatment, and will not always clear itself up, as doctor's tell us. Her care is included in my insurance.
