After defeating (so far) SCC HPV16+ with treatments in 2016 and first NED in February 2017, then having a bladder cancer diagnosis (and resection / cure) last June 2025, I know how important it is to have good support. You all were.

Here I am ALMOST a decade later and doin' fine.

Those who are going to lose this as a resource, find support. I think it is an important part of healing. But I also think doctors and therapies and modern medicine are miracles…

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. I hope you find a blessing in it, somehow.

Thanks to everyone who helped me through. I checked-in from time to time, but found anything I might have added to be redundant: Stiff upper lip / You will get through it / Odds are in your favor, but not guaranteed / It sucks / It gets better / People care and have no idea how to do that very well.

Do what the doctors tell you and don't be afraid to ask for help from doctors, nurses, friends, loved-ones… nobody is perfect and they don't always know what you need. They need you to tell them.

Best of luck to all of you who are in the middle of the devil's playground. Teach him a lesson.
