I just heard the news and it was kind of sad hearing that this site is closing down, however I hardly ever visited anymore after the format change. I remember the long nights staying up because of the steroids and always finding someone on. This site helped me immensely going through a journey I knew nothing about. Being diagnosed in 2008 technology has come through great strides and more each and every day. May God be with all of you just starting or ones still going through it. This was a great place and a wealth of information.

Hugs! Kim

I found this site last year after I got diagnosed with metastases from my Stage IIIC CRC. It got me through some really dark times of FOLFOXIRI and a cytoreduction surgery in December. I made new friends and found invaluable information. I am really sad that they are shutting the site down and kind of anxious about where I am going to go in the future to get the same kind of support. Thanks to everyone who has helped me or anyone else on this site over the years. It has meant so much!!!

Wishing you the best. I hope that they continue to offer some type of interaction on line again if they decide to put up another message board in the future.

Same thoughts and feelings here, it was an important place for me, to cope with all that was happening to both Cindy and I. Scrambling and re-organizing this site was disastrous for it, as I'm sure frightened folks looking for others-in-kind that they can relate to, is still a huge need. Is Colo-can and the other sites still operating? I embraced this one, and that was enough, good luck to those searching for such a place, and to all I shared with and knew here……………………….Dave.

I too am sad this site is closing. I'm not much of a poster but I've lurked tons. It really helps to hear the stories of real people rather than grim statistics. I found out I had a CRC metastases to the liver. Had surgery in January but it wasn't fully removed. Now in limbo waiting to see what we do next. This site has been where I turn at my darkest. I want to stay as positive as possible for my family, they have enough to deal with and I'm not interested in group crying. Anyone know if there's another site like this?

Best wishes to all who are still on the journey - or who have completed it and are maintaining NED

T3N1M0 diagnosis (changed from original stage four DX) it has been seven years since my diagnosis and surgery. Just keep fighting and kicking the can down the road.
