HER2+ time b/t surgery and chemo
I have HER2+breast cancer and I’m having surgery on April 7 followed by chemo and radiation. 8 years ago had a double mastectomy r/t triple neg cancer.
i was told that I need to wait 4-6 weeks after surgery (they have to switch out implants along w lumpectomy) before starting chemo. Does that amount of time sound excessive? Did others go back to work during those weeks? My Oncologist doesn’t want me to.
Thanks for any help/knowledge!
Joan

Please address your concerns with your oncologist since she will have knowledge of how you should recover. You will need all of your strength to allow God to heal your body after surgery. Please give yourself grace and the time you need to recover before starting more treatments.
Please keep us posted on your progress so I can be praying for you.
Wishing you all the best with your healing and recovery!Jerrilyn
