7 mm Indeterminate lesion on liver
My wife, age 56, slipped on ice 6 weeks ago and broke her back. She’s doing fine with it now. A CT scan of her back showed a 7mm hypodense lesion on her liver. She had uterine cancer 4.5 years ago and has been cancer free with regular checkups.
Today she had an ultrasound and the lesion couldn’t be seen.
From the final paragraph of today’s report:
Small 7mm hypodense lesion not seen likely due to its location very superior in the liver. As clinically warranted , triple phase mri exam of the liver could be obtained for further evaluation particularly if there is a known history of malignancy which can give liver lesions.
Kidney, gallbladder, other organs seen as normal.
Her PCP now recommended an MRI or to see a dietary specialist. I guess the MRI would close this loop and provide certainty. I’m just worried about a bad report, but from what I understand, small lesions like this are almost always benign.
