So you don’t have to read every entry πŸ˜‚

12/8/23 - Prostate removed at 70 yrs old. In following months, PSA doubled every 3 months. .1, .22, .41, .84 😳

2/15/25 - 2 months of radiation treatment to prostate bed and surrounding lymph nodes (3 dozen treatments) 😩

6/2/25 to 3/1/26 - Last 4 PSA’s negligible πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Personal status:

I’ve had 3 six month Lupron shots. 1 more to go in August.Hot flashes are most annoying part. Suck energy right out of you on a hot day. No return of erection and no desire for sex. Don’t even think about it anymore 🧐

Have very small urine leakage issue. I switched from boxers to briefs and change when I go to bed and when I get up. Worst is wet spot about size of a quarter. Kagels work πŸ’ͺ

Just had a colonoscopy and there was no damage from radiation treatments πŸ‘

Looking forward to a good year on the farm. Just Chickens and honeybees 🚜🐝🚜

Hope everyone has a GREAT year 😎

For me, I noticed a trace of blood in my urine. I had been winterizing my home and yard which required lifting items 50 to 100 lbs. The bleeding starting within a day later. In the beginning it was just a trace every few days, then it became much more than a trace, I was soon peeing blood and passing small pea sized blood clots. This went on for a month. My Urologist performed a simple Cystoscopy by inserting a camera into my bladder. The radiation wounds or radiation cystitis, were easily seen and diagnosed, including an open wound which was the source of the bleeding. A few weeks later I was bleeding every time I urinated, and the blood clots were getting much bigger. The bleeding stopped after 2 months, and nothing since. My Urologist prescribed 40 sessions of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments, of which I finished 35 of 40 today. I'll finish the treatments next week, then another Cystoscopy. I'm told that 40 HBOT treatments is the minimum for radiation cystitis.

Glad to read that you seem to get better.

Forty sessions is quite a commitment (time and money)…
