56 years old, stage 3 Plus tongue base tumor
I am 5 weeks post surgery to remove the 5cm tumor from my throat. I feel so lost as I can still not eat anything at all, my neck and tracheotomy site are a source of endless pain. I eat and drink through a tube. I also can not speak. I was a professional singer before all this started. And they want to start radiation and chemotherapy in a week. I feel like I will never be normal again. I made a YouTube channel to try and document my journey, but it feels like bad news after bad news. Is there anyone out there who has been there and made it through? Here I am if you want to see what has happened so far: https://youtube.com/@firstworksstudio ?si=4N6Iismc0HZdmk3B
