I need some advice please
I have started developing many medical issues since my cancer treatment. I have neuropathy everywhere. I have cranial pressure and now I have cardiovascular disease.
I looked at all the tests that they gave me before during and after cancer treatment and my heart was perfect. I started having issues about two years ago. I finished cancer treatment in October 2020. I’m just wondering if all of this could be from the cancer treatment I had.
5-FU (Fluorouracil) And Mitomycin along with radiation. It was stage III anal cancer with metastasis.
Any help or advice would be appreciated thank you

Hello emmy1111, first I would like to say I m sorry about your situation. yes it is very possible the chemo may have damaged your heart. after six months of chemo treatment I developed stage four kidney disease. its one the the unfortunate risk of treatment. I hope you are seeing a cardiologist about your situation. dealing with the cancer is exhausting enough. add in the effects of treatment plus the damage from chemo is a lot to deal with, feel free to reach out at any time for advice or to just vent. God bless you.
