Well, that hurts - taxol update
My taxol experience is definitely fascinating from the outside although rather rough from the inside. Great news, my tumors don't like taxol and are shrinking. Bad news, I don't like taxol either.
Imagine stepping on a Lego or hitting your funny bone, now imagine that sharp spike of pain anywhere on your body jumping to new locations in fast succession.
Bang. Outside of my left ankle. Whack, middle of my right thigh. Now to the inside of my right floating ribs pushing outwards, off to my left hip, stabbing inside my right shoulder, down to my left lower back, spikes into my right breast, and on and on.
The pain management we have tried so far has not been overly successful in reducing either the frequency or intensity. Any advice?
This better be worth it.

I have a question regarding my ultrasound. I had one 6 months ago. Now the other day and they said i didn’t have the following before. An adjacent ductal Acadia right axilla 1.9 cm lymph node 0.5 cm eccentric cortical thickening. Should a biopsy be ordered instead of waiting another 6 months follow up? Just wondering

I'm uncomfortable offering medical advice, especially without seeing the images. In general, lymph nodes should look like dark crescent moons on ultrasound. Enlarged lymph nodes could be cancer, could be infection, could be a recent vaccine given in an arm on that side. Ask your radiologist if they recommend biopsy to determine the cause.

Hello, so not really understanding whats has been or what is and hesitant to give advice. My BC was found first in an enlarged lymph node that I felt first. They could not find tumor with ultra sound. I found it by feel in the fold under breast. But all was growing fast. 6 months I would be having a different grade cancer. So to wait. would be hard to do. A biopsy is quick and easy and it sure could put your mind to rest, Best of luck sure hope its nothing.

Hello new2this2025, different chemo drugs can have side effects depending on the person. I am sorry to hear about your pain issues. I myself know the side effects of chemo can vary in misery as well some treatments like white blood cell booster shots that are known for bone pain. I have experienced the many side effects of treatment such as pain , nausea, vomiting, fatigue and so forth. hopefully your doctors can come up with a better pain management solution. I know how exhausting everything can be. I pray for you these problems get better for you. God bless you..
