Hello. I'm new here. My beloved husband was diagnosed 10/29/25 with grade 3 inoperable brain cancer. We started treatment 12/8/25 and it ends 1/27/26. I feel supported as far as his treatment team etc. but I guess where I'm struggling is that people we've shared this with seem to be backing off or away from us. Has anyone else experienced this? I have so many other questions and glad I found this group.

Hello I am very sorry to here about your husband. I am equally sorry that those you know are distancing them selves from you. unfortunately this is an aspect of having cancer and reaction thats encountered. I have experienced this myself. there are those who are not wishing to be friends with some one who has cancer or terminal cancer because they don't want to be hurt. thats understandable to a degree but that also need to understand the person who has cancer does not want it and are suffering in many ways. just try to keep the perspective. if they desire to flee, you really don't want them in your lives. God will provide people in your lives that are best for you. I know how hard cancer is. its relentless and does not discriminate no matter age, race, nor wealth. God bless y'all
