“On this day of Our Lord, December 19th, 2025, the Catholic Church’s most humble choir does hereby bestow upon Joseph a great and merciful honor…”

Friends and family, I have an announcement of great importance — one that has shaken the Catholic music world to its very core.

As a 60‑year Childhood Cancer survivor in 2025, my church has decided to honor me with a Christmas role so prestigious, so sacred, so merciful to the human ear… that I simply had to share it with all of you.

After decades of loyal service — including the unforgettable years when they only trusted me to hold the letter L during “NOEL” (and wouldn’t even let me say “Here it is!”) — I have finally been promoted.

This Christmas season, I have been officially contracted to sing as far away as possible, performing a solo no one can hear, in order to protect the hearts and eardrums of all ages.

Yes. A silent solo. A ministry of mercy. A gift to the congregation.

I am tickled pink. I promise not to let this go to my head. And I hope this warms your heart as much as it warms your behind.

Merry Christmas — and you’re welcome for the peace and quiet.
