Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my journey as a bladder cancer survivor in the hope that it might encourage or help someone who is going through a similar phase.
My journey began when I noticed symptoms that I couldn’t ignore anymore. Like many people, I didn’t initially think it could be cancer, but after proper tests and diagnosis, I came to know that I had bladder cancer. It was difficult to take in, and my life felt uncertain overnight.
Treatment was not easy. There were moments of fear, physical discomfort, and emotional exhaustion. However, with the support of my doctors, family, and a strong will to fight, I took one step at a time. Each treatment, each hospital visit, and each small win taught me patience and resilience.
What helped me most was staying informed, asking questions, and not losing hope even on difficult days. I also learned the importance of regular follow-ups and listening to my body.
Today, I’m grateful to say that I’m a survivor. To anyone newly diagnosed or currently in treatment: you are not alone. It’s okay to feel scared, and it’s okay to ask for help. Trust the process, take care of your mental health, and believe in your strength.
If you have questions or want to talk about your journey, I’m here to listen. We heal better when we support each other.

Thanks for sharing your cancer journey.
Who were the key people or organizations that supported you while you were fighting bladder cancer?

Thank you for your kind words.

While fighting bladder cancer, I was supported by my family and doctors, who helped me stay emotionally strong throughout the treatment. In the middle of my journey, Uhapo provided valuable support by helping with appointment bookings, guiding me through my medical reports, and assisting me in identifying the right doctors and a trusted cancer treatment centre.

This support made the process more organized and less overwhelming, allowing me to focus on my treatment and recovery with greater confidence and peace of mind.😊

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer back in October of 2024 & have been doing treatment since. I was 45 years old at the time & it totally took me by surprise that I had cancer but I ignored the symptoms for quite a while. I have never really talked to anyone else who has experienced the same & would like to hear about your journey & share more about mine.
