Stage IV journey begins...
My cancer is back. I had a PSA done in January of this year…. 8.1…it had been a 0.34 six months before. Doctors could not believe that the result was that high after such a short time. It is an aggressive monster that eventually went to 9.4 in July. PET scan showed 8 bone lesions with 1 large one on my spine. No organ or lymph node invasion. ADT has knocked PSA down to under 1 now. My prognosis was not good to begin….but I was kinda thinking I might just slip by….anyway I am going to Mayo Clinic and Minnesota Oncology for treatment. These two guys know their stuff and have started me on chemo. If you think ADT is tough….you aint seen anything until chemo ! It has kicked my **** for the last week but Im coming out of it today ! (maybe lol !) Saying lots of prayers ! I am in pretty good shape for 66 and hoping to add to that. Really fatigued and sleep 2 or 3 times a day. I am 5 1/2 years into this and plan on being around for another 10. Positive attitude is No. 1 as far as I am concerned. Oh ya….I wont be having any penetration sex for the rest of my life..so I got that going for me….lol ! Just another brick in the wall !

Hey
No radiation planned at this time. Looking to kill the microscopic cancer cells right now. Really small spots except for the spine and its not all that large. Like I said, the ADT stopped the spread for now. My main problem has been with digestive system. I have had cramping with diarrhea and without diarrhea. Its that cramping that has hit me. My walking has taken a hit also. I may get some in today ! These guys I got are really confident and I guess I am also. I will keep everybody informed on the chemo journey. It might help someone get through it easier. Buff
