Hey everyone,

It's been a few years since posting. Been a very busy couple of years.

How it started: I began bleeding and got an appointment with my Gyno. He said "You are definitely bleeding, Until proven otherwise, this is likely cancer. " ( I bled for 10 days) I had went through Menopause 10 years ago so I knew this bleeding was not normal.

The Gyno did a D&C, a colposcopy and a Hysteroscopy.

It came back with an early developing cancer in the endometrium. I found a surgeon and he was a Gyno Oncologist. I said take everything out. He agreed. He did the hysterectomy and removed my uterus /cervix and my tubes .The Pathology report showed no cancer! The Gyno had removed much of it in the 3 above procedures. I felt like I dodged a HUGE bullet. This could have been so much worse.

I have been blessed twice. The Breast Cancer was early stage one and the endometrial cancer on the initial pathological report said the same. .

Just wanted to take the time to share and to say hello!

    CancerFreeSunny,

Good to hear everything went well.

Just had my hysterectomy yesterday and the GYN Oncologist states it looks like the endomertrial cancer did not spread beyond the uterus. Should get pathology report back in about a week and is scheduled for f/u in 2 weeks. I praying for similar results 🙏

    Hi!

I was wondering, did you have an abdominal incision? (looks and feels like a C Section) I did have that type of incision and I have a hematoma (finally shrinking some) so doc told me to wear a binder type short because the Heparin I get during dialysis helped create the hematoma.

My hysterectomy was 6 and 1/2 weeks ago. Finally less painful! I took a bath this morning with permission. She said 6 weeks was the safest way until everything healed.

I do have to have a PET scan on Tuesday, Wish me luck!

How do you feel right now? I remember my incision burned so bad when I tried to sit up.

Had a Robotic Hysterectomy with lymph node dissection. 5 small incision across abdomen. Had some burning with urination right after surgery but not so much now. Feeling some soreness and cramping but discomfort controlled with Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Been getting up every hour or so to walk around house. I think its happening.

Good luck with Pet scan on Tuesday. You got this!

    Sending lots of hugs

    Cora
