Has anyone tried these. I keep seeing ads pop up claiming they’ll save a lot of money over buying pads, etc. to use once and throw away. At $50 for one or $99 for three, it seems to me that the money you save over Depends with be “washed” away in the laundry.
But I a, curious. .. are they worth a try?

    Hi,

I guess it all hinges on how long the briefs last. If a few years that might be OK. My Depends pads cost about $.35 each, change them every day. I think the briefs might be more like wearing real underwear but the cost seems pretty high.

Bulk purchases of generic pads (Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, Meijer, etc.) brings the price per pad down to $.20, so hard to beat. I would rather dispose of a pad than handle a soggy brief.

Would they last 50+ to 100 washings? Plus the time and all resources to do it?

I’m 52 and didn’t get to go to physical therapy yet, because somehow it was not set up and booked by the hospital. I have Surgery on 08/04/25. My biggest fear is incontinence. Does anyone know if that is better for some or how long it may take to have control? I’m so scared of that… I already feel less of a man and I work in the automotive field as a Service Manager and deal with customer and techs daily and really embarrassed. Also another thing is my girlfriend is 33 and again I’m 52 and I’m nervous and hate that I will be unable to perform for about a year from what I hear (if I even can again) is there anyone that can enlighten me and give me some hope?

My father in law uses washable incontinence briefs and they work well. The brand is Octipa and can be bought on amazon!

I think that Octipa pants (and similar) are more for those with "stress incontinence" (about 50 ml daily).

Those that experience involuntary loss of urine like 200 or 300 ml ("overflow incontinence") will require something more protective.

I tried such a product early on in my recovery. I found them to be bulky and not necessarily appropriate for all situations. I think their value depends (no pun intended) on how long you think you need that level of protection.
