Life during treatment
I’m 70 years old and was first diagnosed 1.5 years ago with stage 4 PC with metastasis to bones. I went through chemo last year for 5 months and since then have been on 3 different meds, the latest of which is Lynparza, and still my PSA is rising. I’m scheduled to start on Pluvicto soon. So far the only symptoms I have are minor occasional back pain, residual neuropathy from the chemo, and blocked tear ducts from the chemo. I have a very active life and wish to continue to do so, but I find myself worrying constantly about death. I’d be OK knowing that I could just drop dead or die in my sleep, but from what I gather about prostate cancer is that it is a slow painful wasting death. This eats at me. I don’t want to end up in a hospice on opiates.

Hi,
Continue to stay active, that will help you fight this. What was your last PSA and Gleason score? Is it possible to do spot radiation on your bone metastasis or other areas? Proton beam radiation can be used on the same areas that has been hit with traditional external beam radiation in the past.
I have included a link on immunology for you to study.
