just an FYI - Some people may not like the source, but I’ve found that the GROK3 app gives me good and reliable answers to my questions about my surgeries and treatments

Just saying

Have a GREAT weekend 🚜🐝🚜

In that context, I wonder whether 'support' platforms such as this one will survive in the long run?

They actually scrape forums like this to include in their Big Brains.

I would prefer answers from people rather than a machine

I prefer refereed papers, especially the ones that summarize.

yeah. I went through quite a few of those in the beginning. Like Mayo and John’s Hopkins. Lot of data to go through and only ones that made sense were those with summaries

recently retired software engineer here… spent my last few years developing smart agents. let me caution anyone against putting faith into the output of an LLM (e.g. grok). put plainly, these things just make **** up.

there is no intelligence, no thinking, nothing that these models can create. in simple terms, they are just really big statistical systems. math. if you rely on a spam filter, you rely on the same principles of pattern recognition. they seem really good, but they aren't. LLM systems seem trustworthy because the output is so well written.

sure, use them to get an idea - but verify, verify! verrrrrify!

I just saw an example in which grok advised putting elmer's glue into a recipe for pasta sauce to thinken it.

choose to trust an LLM and you risk a lot. I don't,
