Synchronous primary tumors

Hello! I’m writing about my husband. His story—he had a partial nephrectomy at MD Anderson in February 2024 for Stage 1 kidney cancer. At that time he had a CT scan that showed a thickening of the ascending colon wall at 4.9. This March, he had another scan that showed the thickening had increased and there were suspicious ileocolic nodules.

So, he had a colonoscopy in May. Rather than get to the ascending colon that was the reason for the concern, there was an 8cm mass in his sigmoid that created an obstruction preventing a full scope. That mass is a G2 tumor with LVI.

Does anyone have any experience with 2 tumors in your colon at the same time? Right side (worse) and left side. The CT scan in March showed clear on liver, kidney, abdomen, spleen. But they weren’t specifically looking for Mets at that time either.
