Endometriod Adenocarcinoma Recurrance to the liver
Hi everyone. It’s been a good long while since posting here. I was diagnosed with endometriod adinocarcinoma Stage 1 Grade 1A eight years ago in 2017. That May, I had a complete, Davinci robot assisted, hysterectomy. I remained NED for 6 years. It wasn’t until we went 1 year in between checkups that it was discovered that my cancer had returned. I went through brachytherapy radiation and it was gone again. A year ago Nov, I finished my first ever chemo treatments. The Keytruda they had me on during chemo was continued. I have my next Pet Scan on Friday to see if the 2 miniscule dots, one on each lobe, are either inflammation or cancer. Previously, there were 6 lesions on my liver. Then, I suppose, due to the Keytruda drip I still receive, they went away. A few reappeared on my spleen, then went away. I sure hope they are not back on my liver. My oncologist doesn’t seem too worried and tells me not to worry until he says we have cause to worry. He has not told me that I will only live for 5 more years, but everything I see online indicates that, being as there is no cure once a recurrance happens, 5 years is what the statistics say. I want to be an exception to the rule!! My liver is currently under immunotherapy palliative care. Should I be more concerned than I am? And what does this C124 number measure? I may not have remembered the number correctly. It’s C something, anyways. I want to ask my doctor about this. I saw it on another post earlier. So, does anyone else have experience with a metastasis to the liver? I would appreciate any insight anyone has. Thank you,
Wendy

I am sorry about your recurrence and hope the Keytruda does the job. On the CA125 (cancer antigen) blood test, it is used to help diagnose and monitor uterine cancer — "normal" levels are under 35 but it isn't a reliable diagnostic tool. I gather that the levels rising or falling are markers for whether treatment is working or if there may be a recurrence.
