Husband 73..survived prostate cancer 10 years ago. In March on vacation he was urinating blood. Went to urgent care ruled out kidney stone. Contacted urologist back home, had ct scan with and without contrast, ultrasound . Findings were nodule on adrenal gland 0.9 cm exhibiting and absolute washout of 39.7%. Along the anterior margin of the right kidney there is a 2.6cm well-circumscribed lesion with Hounsfueld measuring 47. At the kayeral aspect of the right kidney there is a well-circumscribed lesion measuring 1.7 cm with Hounsfield unit averaging 59. Report suggests MRI. Had to change urologist and waiting for him to return from vacation..we have such axiety. Need a better understanding of circumscibed, Hounsfield unit measuring, are the lesions considered large and concerning ? Thank you ever so much!

Hi Jenny, hope you had good results. Those sizes seem smallish to me, but any size is scary, right? Prayers.

Hi, I think those are considered small-but any mass is scary! They might be able to zap that out with freezing or ablation! Let us know how it works out. I have an RCC that is near the vein. I have comorbidities that makes me ineligible for safe surgery. I may have a special radiation instead.
