Stage 4a rectal with Mets to lung
35 yo diagnosed with rectal cancer last year. Had radiation, chemo and colon resection and had negative CT DNA bloodwork in January. Bloodwork came back positive in April have one spot on the right lung and one spot on the left lung. Have to meet with a thoracic surgeon interventional radiologist but they said no additional chemo because they are saving that for if anything becomes more aggressive, hopefully not, down the road because they don’t want me to get chemo resistant.

I had 4 % successful and they don't mets in mu lungs. 1 LRL, 1 ULL, 1 LLL, I turned out to be a macrophage. Consults were a no go, I am N=1 and centralized docs only know what their facility sells. keep the patient their by using F.O.G (Fear, Obgligstion, Guilt.)
Go to another hospital for 2nd, 3rd views. Go home and weigh them. You do have time no matter how much they push you right now. I don't care how nice they are, the building is brand new and beautifil, the nurses are the best, sparkles everywhere ect, ect. If the best doc that lines up with my N=1 but he's also the biggest A$$hole in the room. You bet he's my guy.
I went to Germany fot Rolles Lung Laser suregery, invasive but lung perserving. Biopsies are only 30% successful and they do nt keep record of all the failures and biopsies actually seeding more cancer cells else where. SRBT, some have success and others don't. I will say the radiation target area turns into a desert forever so it will have long term effects if not another cancer in same spot.
Research, Research!!! You are your own advocate. Learn as much as you can for your BENEFIT and not THIERS!
Good luck
