11.4 mm endometrium and worried
Hi everyone. I'm glad there are platforms like these to sound off on. I hope it's ok to post here although undiagnosed.
I've been reading around and found some helpful posts. Ultimately, we just have to get checked the best we can and not take diagnosis online. I understand that. Purpose of this post, is to hear your opinions because I am now mortified that it could be cancer. My paps have always come back normal. But the last obgyn visit, the question of last period came up. I am post menaupause and 53 and obese. 1 year no period and hormone test is how they told me i am post. Well, 2 months after my 1 year anniversary of no period, I had a regular period. And nothing since. I had a uti some months ago, cleared after antibiotics, but my uti symptoms persist, not a lot, but slightly, especially when I don't drink water. My mom has very frequent utis. My obgyn has recommended a biopsy because, she said, the thicked uterus lining could be cancerous.
I'm now unable to concentrate on work, and canceled a few appointments because I'm really depressed about it. The procedure is not until a month from now. Then, I'm sure there is time to wait for the results also.
Is 11.4 mm endometrium usually cancerous? Not sure if thickness amount matters vs as long as it's thicker than the 6 mm is concerning enough for them to do a biopsy.
Thank you for any input you guys might have.

Hey Jaaade. I am a visitor from the Uterine/Endometrial cancer board. I haven't checked this board for awhile.
I see you posted a month ago, so maybe you have already had a biopsy and gotten those results. I would invite you to post on the Uterine/Endometrial cancer board if you have questions. I would recommend starting a new thread, just like you did here, because sometimes it gets lost in long ones.
Regardless, I am glad your doctor took the bleeding seriously and wanted to check it out.
