Biopsy Results

My biopsy test results came this morning and I'm undecided whether to open and read them before speaking with my urology office tomorrow morning. Waiting for the results these last few days caused me a lot an anxiety, and I don't know if taking a look might exacerbate my anxiety. Have others had this debate with themselves?

I do not review my test results ahead of my Oncologist appointments. I find it less stressful, and quite frankly more informative, if I let my Oncologist deliver the results and their meaning to me.

    To each his own…

I read them to be more prepared to ask questions. Sometimes docs don't cover all the details. My results had tertiary pattern 5, never mentioned until I asked about it in follow up.

Be as informed as you can within limits of your anxiety.

Same opinion as Rob.Ski. Gives me more time to prepare questions, but I completely understand your hesitation. Good luck with your decision.

I have always opened mine both times. I’d rather know when I go in rather than get the news there But, there is no right or wrong answer. Do what you feel is best for you
