Lung Mets

Has anyone been diagnosed with lung metastases ?
I am stage 3C serous. They only do scans once a year here for some reason. I had some bleeding that they shrugged off and then my next visit they tried to but I basically insisted on a scan. The scan in December showed no issues in abdominial region, but found a new 6mm solid nodule in my lungs. So they re-scanned in March and it has grown to 1cm. They will likely do a biopsy…but I've read that lung mets from endometrial cancer are rare…

LeafsGirl13, I am sorry to hear about the lung nodule and no one has replied yet. I think Bonnie2023 might have had it show up in her lungs, but the board is quite but people do check in. You might want to reach out.

Are they sure this is metastases and not a new cancer? I know serous is whack-a-mole, but there has been that too.

Please let us know what the new plan is on this. It sounds like you have to be advocating for yourself so push those gyn oncs!

    Hugs dear

    Hi there,

When I got dx in 2015, there was a lung nodule to watch on the scans. It didn't start growing , in fact doubling in size until 2018/19, then it didn't even light up on the PET/CT scans until 2023. First biopsy was nothing, but the 2nd, 3 months later was malignant. They used sbrt on it, no complications, and now nothing lights up there. So, yes, ec can show up in lung nodules - but it is possible to treat them. My dr thinks that the cancer may have been there all the time, but that the systemic treatments probably held it back. When it became malignant, I had been off the main systemic treatment for a while. A little over a year later, my ctDNA came back NEGATIVE! Full disclosure: I am on systemic treatments, but they are working.

Please keep in touch and let us know the outcome of your biopsy and, the plans, if necessary, to treat it.

    Best wishes.
