Rib pain

hi, anyone has any home remedies for rib pain? My mom has breast cancer with bone and liver mets, and she has been feeling pain in her right rib. If you guys could give me some home remedies or treatments for rib pain other than radiation that would be good! Thanks

Maybe a warm cloth or heating pad? I have Mets, too. I hope she feels better soon.

yes we did try heating pad which gets better for a while until it gets painful again (especially when she sits or walks) . I hope you feel better soon as well! Thank you

Thank you. Hey, have you contacted her Palliative Care doc? Their job is to help us with our quality of life. Perhaps he/she would be able to prescribe medications to help with her pain. Just a thought!

yes i did, he raised the dosage of the pain meds however the side effects of the high dose were too severe for her so he reduced the dosage again

I am sorry for her pain. I, too, after 16 years have just been diagnosed with mets to my bones. The only thing that relieves my pain in the back @nd ribs is a heating pad. But, only on LOW heat. I hope this helps. God Bless 🙏
