My prayers are with you, you can do it! I would recommend starting the cream for the radiation burns, be sure to not apply before your treatments. I used Miaderm, but others work just as well. Try not to use anti-diarrhea until you actually have diarrhea because you may constipate. You may need to keep depends on hand, but you may or may not need them right away. Try to find high protein drinks and bars, and keep a good supply of electrolytes.

My doctor prescribed B12 and Folic acid, but I was very aenemic from the tumor. You should not need to adjust your bed, remember if you can you should try to exercise during treatment if you can.

I would wait until you see how your body reacts to chemo/radiation. I did not experience any diarrhea while on chemo/radiation. I had more adverse reactions to smells and tastes.

What I have been eating is a lot of fruit and vegetables; although the one I love and have to stay away from are cucumbers. They seem to make me gassy. The temptation is real though. I also eat breads and cheeses to help with hunger. If you don't have a peanut allergy, mixed nuts helps. Yogurt is great too; mixed with fresh fruit for a smoothie. These are some things I did and still do to help me with hunger and eating right. Oh, I almost forgot, eat lots of chicken (not fried, it really does a number on the stomach, at least it did for me).

I have been told that before and after a bowel movement to use lidocaine (which my doctor gave me at .5%) to help with the pain. It does help. Even after two months after treatment, I am still experiencing controlling when I pass gas and some leakage. The pains has subsided a bit, but still on pain meds.

    I hope this helps.
