New melanoma diagnosis
Hi all. Just signed up for this app trying to read up (it’s a lot) so thank you all and best to those in a worse scenarios. I was diagnosed yesterday 3/14/25, stage 1, “fast tracked” referred by Derm to surgical oncologist for consultation Monday. Probably for wide removal and SLNB. Prognosis more than likely going to be ok but it’s a lot, and it’s my first, and I’m 45. Just reaching out to those going or having gone thru similar. All the best and God bless to you all. Thanks!!

hi there, you’re lucky enough that they have discovered in early stage your melanoma, I started going to different dermatologists when I got brown spot on my left toe, it took them, (8 different doctors) to discover that I actually have melanoma, by the time they figured it out it was stage-3 and they had to amputate my toe.
Now all my left leg lymph nodes is blocked and became bigger, they offered me drug name Keytruda, but I don’t feel comfortable to take it because it has lots of side effects
