Hi, my mother has stage 4 breast cancer and the cancer has metastasized to the bones and liver. She is currently on enhertu, but she has been feeling heaviness and numbness in her legs. Is that a normal side effect of the medication or should we be worried? Also if anyone is experiencing this please give us solutions if you have any. Thank you!

I got numbness in my legs and the tips of my fingers from chemo. It is expected to improve but not to go away. I was sent to a neurologist who did some testing. The doctor said if I get pain with that he can prescribe medication but he cannot help with the numbness. Your mom should mention this symptom to her doctor as maybe they can help.

I'm sorry to hear about the pain your Mom is in. She's fortunate to have a child like you looking out for her. I have MBC as well. It is in my bones, liver and kidneys. I took Ibrance. One of the symptoms I had before getting diagnosed was pain in my legs. I would discuss with her Palliative Care doc, your Family Doctor and the Oncologist. It may be something totally unrelated to cancer. I pray you will have the wisdom it takes to do the right thing for your mother.

Thank you so much dear, i have talked to the oncologist and she said we can see a neurologist for that, however my mother refuses to take any neurology related meds because she cannot tolerate the side effects of them. I hope you feel better soon ♥️
