Pain prior to treatment

Did anyone have pain before treatment from the cancer? I’m having pain that makes it difficult to sit, lay, and sleep. I take Tylenol for the pain as well as gabapentin. I do sitz baths 3 times a day. The only time I am relatively comfortable is when I’m in the tub. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Hello, I have been excruciating pain for months. The doctors kept saying it was severe hemorrhoids. A week ago the mass on my anus tripled in size and the pain was immense I could not function. I went to the emergency room that's when they told me it wasn't hemorrhoids it was anal cancer. I was scheduled for hemoredectomy that Friday. Instead I ended up having biopsies done but nothing relieved my pain until they finally agreed to give me pain medication once they realized it was cancer. I used to heating pad bought a pillow that I could lay face down on and rotated Tylenol and ibuprofen until they changed my diagnosis. I can hardly function at work at the end. Push for answers because I know firsthand how horrible the pain is and it is real. I am going to be set up with oncology palliative care Radiology chemotherapy all kinds of stuff this week. I wish you well and getting answers. It took me 6 months.
