Just love to see other's success. It gives us all 'hope'.
I'm about 4.5 years out chemo/radiation/immunotherapy and was doing well till I wasn't. That's why successes are so great to see!
I fell this morning. The big fear for some of us old folks (I'm 81, still trouble believing I made it this far).
So after the discovery of and a tumor on the brain in Mar'25 and having it removed (confirmed came from my 10/20 lung cancer) I am once again in 'recovery' mode. And one of the side effects, entrectibib, is clumsiness (balance). So I go to PT to help with balance. And while doing my balance excercise I fell — big time. Fortunately I hit my bedroom wall, slide into my dresser, and fell to the ground. Hurt my butt and shoulder - but not to much else. Lucky, right.
I was surprisedat how quickly I went from upright to sprawld on the floor
First thought was to yell to my wife that I was okay. Next was figuring the best way to get up and check myself out
It's a couple of hours later now and I think all I did (somehow) was hurt my foot.
Now I just took a moment to feel sorry for myself and came back to this network to be cheered up. And now I'm going to work on a fresh poem to vent a bit. Writing has helped me in the past (wrote 85 poems while going through chemo, radiation, immunotherapy) and it helped get angst out of me. It made me feel better, back then, to vent - I hope it will help me now.
Enough feeling for sorry for 'me' for today.
Weekend is upon us, no doctors appts to go to. Take a moment this weekend to celebrate something good about life. Thanks for being here and sharing - it's been a 'pick me up' for poor little me.
Enough I said - Have a wonderful weekend. If you drink, have one for me!

So sorry to hear this. I had an emergency craniotomy in sept 2020 and I give it a lot of credit for opening the blood brain barrier for the systemic treatments that followed. Radiation to the tumor bed unfortunately left me with the loss of vision left of center in both eyes but still able to accomplish most things.
Are they talking about SRS to the tumor bed? Any additional systemic treatments planned?
