I am not familiar with the shot that you are receiving bc It was not offered to me. However I felt a similar side effects from Anastrozole and Letrozole. Ibuprofen was given to me but I did not want to take everyday but it helped sleep better.

Sour-soap grows in my country and it is good for us. Check at Latino stores for pulps at frozen session or in can ( has sugar though).

I’ve recently been diagnosed with bilateral DCIS Stage 0 and have the markers inserted but haven’t made up my mind if I want to do the lumpectomy with radiation or meds later. My surgeon offered me an option to forgo the surgery and do every 6 month mammograms to watch since the tumors are basically gone due to being so small that the biopsy took the tissues. I def do not want the meds since they have so many side effects and I don’t take any meds at the moment and I’m 69 years old. I’m in the forum to see what other women think. Help please!

I had lumpectomy and radiation about 29 sessions or so.

I could not tolerate the hormone therapy and I am doing what your Doc suggested: Mammograms and also I MRI.

As prevention I did remove my ovaries so that will help too if you test positive for estrogen.

I’ve been on Arimidex for a month and 1/2. One terrible red flushed face, most are less red. Minor hot flashes, more problems with cold hands and feet now. Ache all over. Makes me fearful all of the time about bone cancer. Follow up with oncology isn’t until later in November . I am 74. Stage 1, clear margins, etc. But with my age, breast cancer and recurrence rates increase, so I worry about every blip on the screen. Had vaginal ultrasound to either quell my metastatic fears or confirm them, still waiting for results. Exchange surgery is in Dec., and now I worry that I will also be facing hysterectomy. I saw a very black oval mass during ultrasound. I had bilateral mastectomy in July. I think I will request a bone density test next, unless the news from the ultrasound is bad and they direct me elsewhere first. Very difficult not to worry. I read everything that I can online. I’ve watched all surgical procedures because I want to know the how and why. Probably driving my surgeons crazy.

You’ve really been through a lot — surgery, radiation, and all those medication changes. That’s a lot for anyone to handle 💛. I’ve heard many people mention that the joint pain from Anastrozole and Letrozole can be really tough. Giving your body a short break sounds like a smart and gentle thing to do.

I’m really curious how you’re feeling now that you’ve taken some time off the meds — have you noticed any difference yet?
And do you feel hopeful about starting Tamoxifen?

You deserve some relief and comfort after all you’ve been through. 🌷 Sending good thoughts your way — you’re doing amazing just by continuing to look for what works best for your body.
