Any low grade endometrial cancer stage 4 survivors out there?
Hi,
Just wondering if there is anyone with low grade stage 4 endometrial cancer and if so what treatment options were you given and how successful are the treatments for your low grade cancer?
I'm needing some hope for a newly diagnosed friend. Any stories of hope would be really appreciated!

hey, Isle. I'm sorry to hear you have found yourself here, and as posted on a few other threads, I think the holidays have had some of us away from the board. Sadly, cancer never takes a holiday.
What treatment plan has your gynecologic oncologist proposed? There are lots of survivors, and please remember as our dear friends before us here have said, "you are a statistic of one".

Hi Isle,
my guess is that a low grade cancer, even at stage 4, should have some good options for further treatment. It sounds like your friend could really benefit from a consult or two from a top notch cancer institution to help figure those possibilities out.
Remember, none of us here are gyn oncologists and can only give advice from our own experiences. She needs more than that at this point, so she should get quality input from outside of where she is currently being treated. It could be very helpful to both her and her current doctor. No one doctor can know it all and so a team approach is greatly preferred.
If more details about her were shared like what area of the country she's in, someone here might be able to recommend a place to go or she could ask for a remote consult that many of the ranked hospitals offer. Encourage her to join this board, there is a lot of useful help here. Kudos to you for being such a good friend!
