Parent of newly diagnosed son with cancer

my daughter n law and son do not want me at the hospital for his surgery, which is 2 hours away. If complications I cannot get there quickly.know my son is going through a lot but being there for him helps me too. We have always been close until he married. Thought I was gaining a daughter, but actually lost my so.. now welling very anxious that I will lose him.
