After Whipple
I had the Whipple in May and they cut my artery so the surgery lasted 15 hrs instead of 8. I was doing ok until chemo I was taking IV once a week and taking 18 pills a day . The pills made me coma kinda sick So I stopped. I still get IV. The Dr said chemo is protocol after having the surgery and is upset I won't take the pills. Said they mix well with the IV. I asked if there was another kind I could take he said I was on the strongest they had. No one mentioned chemo after surgery has anyone else had 6 months of chemo after there Whipple?? They said could be they found it in one lymph node that they had not seen before took 23 of them to be safe. I'm sick all the time suppose from the chemo. I just haven't heard if they got it all why so extensive with the chemo. Any one else have that? So i asked when I'm getting it back he said normal is 24-30 months. This is so frustrating to me.
