Flu with cough when on Tamoxifen - What can one take?

Hi everyone! I am wondering what you all take when you get sick while on tamoxifen? Since as you know, most ingredients in most cough syrups/suppressants conflict with the effectiveness of Tamoxifen, is there a specific brand or recommendation when dealing with a flu/ongoing cough/cold? Thank you and looking forward to any feedback.
