Life Update w/ Stage 4 Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma
Hi guys,
My name is Cassandra as some of u know my story I was diagnosed in 2021 while being 5months pregnant w/ my son. I had surgery to remove the tumor as well as my right adrenal gland. After surgery I recovered then in late January of 2022 I had my son. Once I was cleared I did 25 rounds of radiation & thought I was in remission until earlier this year. I did a biopsy in February & my cancer was in my lungs (6 small nodules). I've since been on mitotane & learned to manage my everyday life while being a toddler mom & still being "normal" I have my next scan next month & very hopeful I'll have good results as my doctor said there hasn't been any new pop-ups & I'm not someone he would treat w/ IV chemo. I'll be 32 on the 25th of this month & have so much to be thankful for. I know everyone deals w/ things differently & this is one of those cancers that isn't well known so I just always tell ppl be positive even when u dnt want to. So here's to positive vibes & happy thoughts!! Hoping we can all get good news & clear scans ❤️
