Hi,

My mother has been diagnosed with stage IIIc serous ovarian carcinoma, which has spread to the peritoneal cavity, nearby lymph nodes, spleen, and possibly the liver. We have started chemotherapy, and the doctors have recommended three cycles of chemo combined with Avastin. After evaluating her condition, they suggested cytoreductive surgery, followed by the remaining three cycles of chemo. For maintenance, Avastin is planned for at least 20 cycles at three-week intervals. If the cancer is found to have a genetic component, they may recommend PARP inhibitors. In addition, we have initiated adjuvant Ayurvedic therapy to help boost her immune system.

My question is whether anyone has had a similar diagnosis, and if there was a recurrence, how soon did it happen and how was it managed? Are there any precautions we can take to prevent a full recurrence or at least prolong the period of remission? I would greatly appreciate any insights or advic
