First Chemo maybe this will help others
I Went through my first chemo Sept 10th. I had my pre meds, taxol/carbo/keytruda. I did have a small reaction to taxol but I was ok after 30mins. The Infusion was easy but uncomfortable I got flushed, hot, light nausea, cramps.
•Chemo every Tuesday
•Steroids Monday through Thursday (Tuesday through IV)
•Fluids every Wednesday & Friday
-Side effects:
•Day 1-2 good just took nausea meds for prevention!
•Day 3-4 l was deathly nauseous, headache, couldn't eat anything but I forced protein shakes, water, dry Kiks cereal.
•Day 5 NO more nausea meds, could eat anything in small small amounts felt better! The night of day 5 diarrhea started hurt really bad took two Imodium pills and was great!
•Day 6-7 NO more nausea meds. Ate small but normal day 6 then had a burst of diarrhea immediately took two Imodium pills and was great! Day 7 last day before chemo 2 starts I’m able to eat pasta with shrimp and feel normal.
