In home (CNA/other?) support while going thru chemo

Last Fri wife was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymphoma. ,, large B-Cell … something…

Had one appt in top school cancer program in the area to confirm biopsy… in couple days she is going for pet scan…. and likely for chemo after that.

Wife is in middle 50s and so am I. I still need to work. Right now I am working remotely and help out a lot with daily things (and have no problem doing so)for last weeks or so. She is somewhat limited as the lymphoma is under armpit and really painful since biopsy.

I want to get someone in the house to spend with her in the house as needed and especially after chemo sessions. I am talking about uplifting person who can sit and talk about anything and everything and maybe help with bathroom trips etc. Wife is in descent mood now but I can see that she is scared as she should be.

Where should I look for someone? Hospital could put me in touch with psychiatry/therapy dept etc . I dont think virtual sessions 1/day for an hour will help much…Are there volunteers/support groups I could contact ?
