Diagnosed this year but having problems with
I have been diagnosed with Metastatic Prostate Cancer Stage 4 B. I was having no issues and one day hurt my back. They scanned my back and noticed something in my pelvis. Three months later after testing everything finally got a diagnosis. I am currently getting darolutamide and relugolix. The had started me on Chemo, docetaxel 75 mg/m2 every three weeks. After first treatment just ran a low grade fever. After the second treatment landed up in hospital for 6 days, febrile neutropenia. Hospital states now, no more chemo. Radiology is not keen in treatment since it is so wide spread and have not had a chance to shrink it at all. They also did testing to find I also have a fusion of SNDI-BRAF. One of my doctors state this means the drugs will not work as well.
Has anyone had Docetaxel 50 mg/m2 every two weeks? Or has anyone gotten Filgrastim injections with good results.

Hi,
Sorry for your situation, it seems like they have you on two ADT drugs and the chemo gave you some problems. If I was in your shoes I would look at another doctor/hospital network for a second opinion. If radiation can’t be done because of the reasons you stated then maybe immunotherapy therapy should be investigated. Maybe a second opinion might shed a different viewpoint on your particular situation with different ideas and treatment paths.
I have included a link for you to investigate.

Sorry for the disappointment in the chemotherapy. Hopefully you recover the side effects of docetaxcel.
I wonder why did your doctor put you on darolutamide. This antiandrogen is recommended for no metastactic cases.
I am not a doctor but in your shoes I would inquire on the possibility of using abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) plus relugolix( Orgovyx) which are commonly indicated in wide spread metastactic cases. Zytiga will require to take Prednisone that may regulate in part the BRAF oncogene.
Get second opinions and look for ways to keep the quality of life.
What is your PSA histology?
Best wishes
