reoccurrence rate radiation
Hi all,
From the data available the charts show a 10% chance of reoccuancd with radiation and ADT, and 20 percent without ADT in eight years. These seem awfully high. Am I missing some thing. Anyone know the reocurance rate for surgery as well.. ADT is a no go for me. Thank you.

There are different kinds of radiation and the underlying technologies are often updated. I do know that the recurrence rate for SBRT as it is currently practiced is much lower than the numbers you cited.
For instance, the PACE B trial (for SBRT) showed a >95% control rate after 5 years.

Hi,
You could give ADT a try and see how it goes, there are different drugs and each person reacts differently. If I have to do ADT I will try it, if the side effects are horrible, I will stop. Maybe your Urologist can help select a milder drug.
