Hi good night, I know this is a late post but I am petrified for my mom. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 signet ring cell adenocarcinoma since April of this year. She was completely healthy until she complained about pain in her stomach and not being able to eat much.
Is there anyone with this prognosis out there?
I am shattered to pieces, never in my life I expected this to happen to my mom. She eats well, she doesn't drink, she doesn't smoke, she doesn't party but yet met with this prognosis.
She is barely able to see since recently. It's like her vision one day was extremely blur.
HELP😭

I was diagnosed when I went in for weight loss surgery with hernia repair In May 2025. Needless to say none of that stuff happened just biopsy and fluid removal followed by a week of waiting. I wasn’t a surgical candidate because it was found that my cancer began with a large tumor in my cecum. I kept complaining of pain on my right side but was too high for appendices labs weren’t detecting infection. The cancer has spread to my peritoneal lining and there are too many tumors. Only option right now is chemo. I’ve just finished my 4th round of Folfox with 5-FU and will have scans this week. I’ve also had extensive pharmocogenetics testing and there appears to be hereditary disease so now i’m off to see a geneticist and asking my entire family to be tested as well. Ambry is offering free family testing. I saw someone say they were diagnosed in 2009.Id only seen a 5 year survivor until then. I don’t ask my doctor about longevity. i’ve changed what I can, follow protocol given, and leave the rest to faith and prayer.
