Hi Sherry,
First of all sorry to her your news.
When I get these reports I find it useful to scan them using adobe scan and click on text recognition.
Then I copy the entire body of the letter and paste it in Google Gemini with a request to the AI to give a summary.
Brilliant for explaining staging and technical terms.
Finally, I was in your position a year ago, but still here after the full treatment including Ivor Lewis surgery and enjoying life again!
I’m 71

Overall I am doing well. The pathology showed all the cancer is gone. It was a rough surgery as I had a leak after my surgery. I spent a month in the hospital. I am still having some issues with swallowing and diarrhea. I recently had a procedure to stretch things but it didn’t seem to completely resolve my issues. I lost almost 40 pounds but I’m back to 115 now. Hope you’re doing well!!
