Atypical ductal hyperplasia
My wife was diagnosed with ADH on core biopsy. Informed this is a precancerous condition and it could either be monitored or a surgical excision could be done. She has opted for surgery. Although everything based on test results points to this as a benign condition I am still scared it is cancer. Need advice.

Yes, targeted radiation where the cancer was found for 5 consecutive days. And no meds as the choice was mine to make. After surgery on May 29th the cancer was found to be touching the wall of the duct and I was told by the surgeon that she had to go back and remove more tissue or take radiation to ensure all the bad cells were gone.
I couldn't go back and be cut again as I felt it was too much to go through again. The choices you have to make are difficult and although the radiation doesn't hurt nor can it be seen, the configuration of your body on the table, at least for me, was humilliating and psychologically very tough.
None of the choices are easy to make, take care of your mental well being through all this.
