Survivor looking for other limb salvage patients to start a support group

Hi, my name is Corey (female) and I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in my distal femur at 24, parosteal osteosarcoma. My treatment was limb salvage surgery using a compression implant. After living normally for 24 years, I had 10 days between finding out I had cancer to limb salvage surgery. Although my limb was salvaged, this surgery drastically changed my life. It's been 5 years of clean scans, but life will forever be different with the changes to my body.

I am looking for other limb salvage patients out there that want to connect. Limb salvage surgery is rare and being able to relate to others is a huge part of healing and feeling supported. If interested, please message me.

Hi! My name is Kristen and I had osteosarcoma when I was 11…in 1993. I also had it in my right femur and he managed to save my limb but it does drastically change your life. I am unable to run and I can't bed my leg any more than 90 degrees. Love to meet up sometime!
